  1. Strategy operates in a bounded domain (separate from policy, tactics, and operation)
  2. A strategy has a single defined foxus
  3. A strategy consists of a basic direction and a broad path
  4. A strategy can be decomposed into smaller elements
  5. Each of individual element address the delivery of the basic direction
  6. A strategy’s essential thrusts each imply a specific channel of influence
  7. A strategy’s constituent elements are formed either deliberately or emergently
