Memorized rules are a framework for turning Life Advice into action and behavior change proposed by Julian Shapiro1. The idea is that rather than focusing on trying to remember all of the advice and principles you hear or learn, commit My 6 memorized rules. These six should be written on a sticky note and viewed throughout the day to improve retention. As you accumulate new principles or axioms, evaluate whether they should replace one of the six based on whether it makes you fell or behave better. To have a rule fit this criteria it must have emotional alignment (aligns with your past beliefs and experiences) and logical alignment (you can arrive at it through your own first principles reasoning).
