There are frameworks and models for learning new things. accelerating the expertise of novices can be achieved by¹:

1. Gathering Domain Experts
2. Performing cognitive task analysis
3. Compile a set of difficult scenarios
4. Turn that scenarios library into a set of training simulations.
5. They sort the simulations by difficulty

Experience is necessary to become an expert, but it is not sufficient. People must learn from experience improve, advance, and then become experts. Learning occurs when you get lots of feedback tied closely in time to decisions and actions².
