Climate Change Mitigation

Anthropogenic sources of atmospheric CO2 and CO2 equivalents are the driver of climate change. Therefore mitigating climate change in a systems perspective is about reducing the stock atmospheric CO2 via the flows of input (reduction of CO2 emissions) and output (Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR)).

Biogenic carbon is the idea that you don’t “count” carbon from burning organic matter since it will be taken up by growth.
