This article1 well captures a growing feeling I get interacting with corporations. I liked the point that the automation and low wage workers form a barrier between the decision makers and the disgruntled customer leading to frustration for both. Dan Davis wrote a book, The Unaccountability Machine, that captures this industrialization of decision making and the rise of accountability sinks.
